Even though Epcot’s Festival of the Arts just ended yesterday at Walt Disney World, we’re already thinking ahead to Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival!

This floral festival starts March 4, 2020, and runs through June 1, 2020, and while we can’t wait to visit the festival’s food booths (see the menus here!) and hear the bands performing at the Garden Rocks concert series, we’re also super excited to see the Flower and Garden topiaries make their triumphant return to Epcot!

Each year, Epcot displays dozens of beautiful Disney character topiaries throughout the park. Some of these topiaries have been growing for years, while new ones are occasionally added to the festival’s line-up. We love exploring the park to find out favorites, which can move from year to year.

One of our favorites in 2019 was the new Kermit The Frog topiary which looked very Parisian aboard his little bicycle! You could find him pedaling through the France pavilion with a baguette in his basket! (He wasn’t ACTUALLY pedaling because he’s a plant, but you catch our drift!)

This year the France pavilion will welcome a new Remy topiary in advance of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction opening in summer 2020!
The Elsa topiary was casting her wintery spell over the Norway pavilion near the Frozen Ever After attraction last year!

And Anna was nearby, of course!

We also saw the Winnie the Pooh topiary hitching a ride with his red balloon in the UK pavilion! Winnie the Pooh and his friends are due back in the U.K. in 2020, too.

If the Figment topiary looks familiar, its ’cause he’s actually out for a while at Epcot’s main entrance! Since the resident artist (and rascal!) was the official mascot of the Festival of the Arts, he’s been greeting folks as they enter Epcot. Figment isn’t yet on Disney’s list of official topiaries for 2020’s Flower & Garden, so we’ll have to watch to see if he makes a move to the Imagination! pavilion for the festival.

The Mater topiary was making a pitstop last year at the festival! We love how his leaves are more of a rust color — his signature hue!

And the Three Caballeros topiaries were so playful over by the Mexico pavilion last year! We love the animatronic version of them on the Gran Fiesta Tour — and we love ’em here as topiaries as well!

Disney has released a list of topiaries we can look forward to this year. But if your favorite isn’t on the list, keep your eyes peeled! They may appear at the festival even if they’re not on the list!
