Construction Update: Work Progresses on Walkway Between Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

We visited the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa recently (and took a glide on the Monorail) to check out the on-going progress of a walkway between the Resort and Magic Kingdom. A massive crane remains in place for the heavy lifting.

And while we can’t make out a ton of progress, it’s still plenty exciting to know the pathway is on its way! In addition to the crane, there are lots of materials on site.

The murky waters of Seven Seas Lagoon await the future development, which will cross this strait when work is complete.

  1. Why do this ??
NO…not happy at all !! This is supposed to be a peaceful “DELUXE” resort that I pay big $$$ for. I certainly don’t need tons of NON-GUESTS trampling around. Walkway vs. Monorail ?? Who is expected to use this walkway??
GF Guests…think not..oh are they opening the GF parking lot to non guests next??

    1. The parking lot is open to non-guests the are there to eat or browse the hotel and grounds. Many non-guests use the monorail to list all the hotels around the lagoon. So get off your high horse or stay at the Four Seasons, if you can afford it

  2. Yeah…. it will be great until a gator pops up on the walkway. I doubt if disney will let people walk it as it is so quiet in the evening
