Calling all water park fans who love to hit the chilly, er — warm, slopes of Blizzard Beach!
Blizzard Beach’s annual refurbishment is set to last a little longer than normal this year.
In previous years, Disney World’s two water parks have taken turns closing in the “off-peak” months for an annual refurbishment. Usually, the first water park’s winter refurbishment starts around October and last a few months. When it reopens, the other water park closes for rehab for several months.

However, when looking at the official Walt Disney World calendar this week, we’ve noticed Blizzard Beach has no hours listed starting in early September.
On Sunday, September 8, there are no hours listed at Blizzard Beach — and that continues through the end of the year.
Water park fans, don’t fret! Typhoon Lagoon water park has hours posted uninterrupted for at least the rest of 2019.
As always, we will keep you posted when we learn anything more relating to this closure.
Don’t forget: Typhoon Lagoon water park is currently hosting H2O Glow Nights now through August 24, where you can meet Toy Story 4’s Forky and other Pixar friends!
