‘90s Nostalgia Is BACK With These Virtual runDisney Themes

Disney just teased themes for the runDisney Virtual Series for 2026, and we’re having all the feels!

The teaser has some of our favorite ’90s Disney characters that we can’t wait to race with!

The runDisney Virtual Series is a yearly event that brings a taste of Disney magic home wherever you run. You can curate your own race experience at home, and lower-mileage races make virtual events a great opportunity to get started on your runDisney journey. Plus, all virtual events come with themed medals and exclusive amenities delivered straight to your door!

This year’s runDisney Virtual Series will be held from June 1st to August 31st, 2026. You’ll have until the end of August to run a 5K or Challenge to win a medal and other merch. General registration will open on April 7th, but runDisney members will have access to a presale before then.

But the best part is this year’s new themes. Disney just released a new teaser with each of the four themes for the marathon! We spy star athlete Hercules,

Emperor Kuzco,

Pocohontas running like the wind,

and father-son duo Max and Goofy!
