We’ve tested a lot of weird products in the Disney World parks.
From silicone shoe covers to hats with fans in the brim, there are plenty of bizarre ways to make your day run more smoothly in the parks. But my personal favorite of the weird products? The backpack spacer!
My editor had me go to Disney World and try out this VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer for a few days to see if it was worth it, or just a complicated contraption. My verdict? Worth it!
You strap it securely to the straps of your backpack, placing the spacer so that the curve follows the natural curve of your back. It’s vented, so you’ll get a nice breeze between your back and the bag — no more back sweat!
It also helps redistribute the weight of your backpack more easily so that heavy bags don’t bear down on your shoulders as badly. I didn’t have any soreness at the end of the day, despite carrying a bag that was LOADED.
Not only is this a pretty good idea for Disney World, but it could be helpful for hiking and camping, or for students who carry lots of books around. I would recommend it again and again!
