When you picture celebrities visiting Disney World, it’s easy to imagine V.I.P. escorts, empty ride vehicles, and red carpets rolling down Main Street, U.S.A. But is that actually the case?

As it turns out, a lot of the tips and tricks celebrities rely on in the parks are actually the same strategies seasoned Disney fans use. Over the years, we’ve noticed a few patterns in how high-profile guests approach the parks, and there are plenty of tactics you can use during your next visit!
Sure, celebs might have access to a few extra perks and more privacy than the average guest, but at the end of the day, they’re trying to accomplish the same goal as the rest of us: Ride the big attractions, avoid the worst crowds, stay comfortable in the Florida heat, and get great pictures for social media. With that in mind, here are three things celebrities almost always do when they visit Disney World.

They Front-Load the Most Popular Rides
One of the biggest strategies celebrities use in Disney World is knocking out the most popular rides early.

That might mean rope dropping the parks, or in many cases, using a VIP Tour guide to help plan the most efficient park days. The goal is simple: Hit the rides with the longest waits before crowds build.
Think attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom, Slinky Dog Dash and Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, and Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom.

If you’re a celebrity trying to stay somewhat under the radar, the last place you want to be is standing in a two-hour standby line in the middle of the afternoon. Stacking the headliners first is often a great way to minimize that wait.
They Prioritize Low-Friction Park Time
Low friction is another way to describe empty space and a lack of shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. Celebrities tend to effectively eliminate friction from their day.

They look for ways to move around the resort without dealing with the worst crowds. This can include things like attending After Hours events when the parks are far less crowded, using lesser-known pathways and shortcuts, maximizing Disney transportation to avoid parking lots and foot traffic, and of course, entering attractions parks through alternate entrances (something common folk won’t have the luxury of doing).

The goal is to keep the day flowing smoothly — which is ultimately a common goal shared among every Disney World guest. A lot of experienced Disney visitors plan routes that keep them moving and reduce the number of bottlenecks in a day. This way, you can experience way more attractions without feeling rushed.
They Dress Exactly Like the Rest of Us
This may surprise people, but celebrities visiting Disney World dress exactly like us!

Despite what you might expect, most celebrities dress down in Disney World — sometimes to the point where you wouldn’t even notice them walking past you. We’re talking athletic shorts, t-shirts, sneakers, baseball caps, regular hats, and sunglasses. And honestly, it makes perfect sense.

Disney days are long, hot, and very active, where you need to walk miles and stand in lines for hours. Comfort and anonymity are priceless. When everyone is wearing park merch, sneakers, and Mickey ears, even a famous face can disappear into the crowd. At the end of the day, celebrities might have access to some extra planning tools, but the core strategies they use are things any Disney fan can apply.
