The Nostalgic Video Game NEWS Every Disney Adult Is Talking About Right Now

It was just announced that the nostalgia-filled Disney game pack, The Disney Afternoon Collection, officially has a Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 release date. Fans have been patiently waiting, and now the time is almost here!

The Disney Afternoon Collection is a bundle of Disney video games pulled from the ’90s. The game first launched for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One back in 2017. It was announced that a Nintendo Switch version is on the way, according to IGN.

The bundle features the retro games DuckTales, DuckTales 2, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Goof Troop, and Bonkers. The digital Switch release date is February 26th, 2026 — which is less than a month away!

Goof Troop and Bonkers are “both Capcom games that made their way to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in the ‘90s, and both will only be available on the Switch and Switch 2 versions of The Disney Afternoon Collection.” Goof Troop sees Goofy and his son, Max, heading on co-op adventures to save Pete and PJ. Bonkers follows Bonkers D. Bobcat as he solves crimes in Toontown.

Fans of nostalgic and retro gaming will love this bundle — it could make for a great Valentine’s Day gift! We’re thrilled that the re-release of the bundle is finally hitting Nintendo’s consoles. With the games, you’ll have access to soundtracks, a behind-the-scenes gallery, and rewind features. There are also Time Attack and Boss Rush modes for some extra challenging gameplay.

For those who like collecting games physically, there is a Disney Afternoon Collection physical edition confirmed to be in development. This will drop after the February digital release, but there is no official date yet. Disney said the physical Switch release comes with the game cartridge, two sticker sheets, eight retro milk caps, and three collectible cards. If you want to make sure you get your hands on it — it’s now available for pre-order and will ship “at a later date.”
