The Cake Bake Shop Bakery is one of our favorite parts of Disney World, but it’s not without some controversy. It’s a beautiful shop covered in gold and glitter with the most beautiful sweets – but it’s also a pretty penny with $22 cake slices and $17 pie slices. Now that there’s a new pie in town, is it worth the money?

The Blueberry Crumble Pie is $17 at The Cake Bake Shop Bakery in the BoardWalk resort. It’s their signature all-butter pie crust, which is loaded with blueberries, lemon zest, sugar, and then topped with a light brown sugar crumble. Here’s our full review!
The pie came in wrapped in parchment paper in the bakery’s iconic white box, but blueberry juice started leaking everywhere. We had to grab a plate from the BoardWalk Deli next door to make sure we weren’t spilling. Make sure to grab some extra napkins next door because in the bakery, the silverware is all in one pack, making it difficult to grab extras.

The blueberry pie filling itself was amazing. It’s juicy, flavorful, and oozes out the sides. (re: plate recommended!) There are also whole blueberries mixed in for a great texture. The crust was a soft, buttery pie crust that perfectly complemented the blueberries.

The crumble topping was some more buttery pie crust with a sweet brown sugar baked on top. The texture of the crumble was great – it was soft and crumbly without being dry. This was an amazing slice of pie!

We’d recommend this pie to anyone who loves blueberries that’s wanting to splurge. Our team was torn on whether or not the pie was worth $17 – it’s a tasty, high-quality dessert, but the packaging was messy, and it wasn’t the experience we expected for the price.

That is so wrong to do. These corporations are crooks. I would never pay that. Disneyland is a big rip off anyway. I won’t go there ever.
Looks good – but heck we can go over to nearby Knott’s Beery Farm and get their iconic boysenberry pie slice for about $7! Just as large – and even more classic!
I loved eating at the Cake Bake Shop in Carmel,Indiana. Expensive, yes, but absolutely worth the experience. I have eaten in my fair share of pricey restaurants. This one totally lives up to the hype. I have not been to Disney World in many years, so I have not visited this sister restaurant, but I can’t imagine anything less than outstanding.
Never would I spend that much money on a piece of pie or cake.
You are right about that no way I don’t care how good it is. You can make the same thing at home for less
Disney has to make up money do to all of the people that didn’t go there because of there politics and I live in Florida.
