NEWS: Weather Advisory Issued for Disney World on New Year’s Eve

We’re ready to ring in the New Year at Walt Disney World, but we have a word of warning to those who will be celebrating in the parks with us!

Happy New Year!

As you head to the parks today, we hope you packed some warm clothes with you, because it is going to be a chilly night. A new weather advisory has been issued for parts of Florida, including Disney World. Here’s what you need to know and how to prepare for it.

According to Wesh News, a new frost advisory has been issued for Orange and Osceola Counties in Florida. These areas impact Disney World and the surrounding area.

It’s going to be cold at Disney World tonight!

The advisory states that temperatures will get down to 32 degrees Fahrenheit, resulting in frost formation. That is VERY cold for Florida, especially when the humidity makes it feel even colder. As one of our reporters said, being on a Disney World tram is “like having icicles thrown at your face” when it’s this cold.

It is going to be cold on those trams!

The advisory began at 11:15 AM on December 31st, 2025 and lasts until 9 AM on January 1st, with frost expected to begin around 1 AM on January 1st. But you can expect to feel the dropping temperatures earlier than that, likely while you’re ringing in the New Year at the parks.

Pack your cold weather clothes!

If you’re planning to be at Disney World tonight and tomorrow morning, we recommend packing a few layers, including a warm coat, hat, and even gloves to keep you warm. Of course, you can always buy sweatshirts and coats if needed at the parks. And be sure to know the locations of every Starbucks and Joffrey’s so you can grab a hot beverage as needed.
