A RARE Ride Occurrence Is Happening at Disneyland This December

Has this year flown by or what?! We’re excited to finish out 2025 and ring in the new year at Disneyland, and this December is shaping up to be extra special!

We’re in the thick of the holiday season, and Disneyland is a fantastic place to celebrate the festivities! If you plan on visiting Disneyland this December, you’re in luck, as a ton of rides will be available during your vacation!

This December, Disneyland Park will have ONLY ONE (1) ride closed at some point!

Indiana Jones Adventure — Closed December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

One of Disneyland’s most popular rides — the Indiana Jones Adventure thrill ride — will close briefly for a minor refurbishment in early December.

This Adventureland ride is an exciting attraction featuring plenty of special effects, dips, twists, turns, and fun. Still, the innovative (and complicated) ride mechanics can often lead to temporary ride shutdowns — and the ride has a reputation for requiring several on a weekly basis. Therefore, some brief maintenance and TLC from December 1st through the 3rd makes sense.

AND THAT’S IT! Can you believe it?! As of this writing, there aren’t even any scheduled closures at Disney California Adventure in December! Talk about an early Christmas gift!

Having only one ride closed (for only three days, no less) for an entire month is an EXTREME rarity for the Disney Parks. Disneyland should be pretty packed this holiday season, but everything being available to guests for 90% of the month will truly help ease crowding and wait times.

Keep in mind, however, that December will be an outlier, and you can expect to see more closures in the following months — especially with the removal of ride holiday overlays and seasonal refurbishments.
