Disney Shares NEW Look at Avengers Campus Expansion

Walt Disney Imagineering just shared a look behind the scenes of the Avengers Campus expansion happening at Disney California Adventure Park! The canopy that connects the two new attractions, Stark Flight Lab and Avengers Infinity Defense, is currently being assembled!

Imagineering shared a couple of images of the team, with the canopy under construction in the background. It is an exciting step towards this new area of Avengers Campus being a reality.

Disney announced the expansion for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure back in August 2024. The expansion will double the size of the current land, and will introduce two brand-new attractions. Construction officially began in early 2025, and we always love getting a peek at the progress already made.

The canopy shown in the pictures behind the Imagineers will eventually connect the two brand-new attractions coming to the Avengers Campus.

In the first attraction, Avengers Infinity Defense, “technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere.” We will join the mission and travel to iconic locations such as Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City.

The second attraction is called Stark Flight Lab, where you will be whirled around through a simulated flight, and you might even come across Mr. Stark himself.

Disney shared a closer look at this new attraction back in March 2025, including a behind-the-scenes look at the ride’s design. Disney even hired dancers to make the robot arms seem more human-like!
