3 Holiday Events Near Disney World You Don’t Want To Miss!

We love winter events in Orlando, even though we might not have a winter wonderland.

Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are kicking off soon! We’re also looking forward to checking out more ways to give back to the community, thanks to Jingle Mingle at Give Kids the World.

If you’re looking for a way to give back this Christmas season, we have just the thing for you! We had the privilege of visiting Give Kids the World Village to learn about fun holiday events.

Give Kids the World Village

The village is an 89-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida where children with critical illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free vacations. Throughout the year, GKTW finds different ways to support these families through these events so the families can create lifelong memories together.

We got to stop by for a preview of the holiday overlay of the village, and we’re bringing you all the details.  There are several events this holiday season, including the Gingerbread Run on November 8th at the village or virtually.

Imagine running through the village?

You can also participate in the annual Ice Cream for Breakfast with Santa! You can indulge in ice cream, crafts, attractions, mini golf, and a dance party! When families stay, they have access to ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so ice cream holds a special place at Give Kids the World.

There’s also a tree trail that you can adopt-a-tree to decorate and leave on display on the trail!

Not only that, you can also enjoy Holiday Nights at the Village on December 20th and 21st. These nights will have local musicians, attractions, a family movie, and more! Just like all of the other events, the proceeds go to helping fund vacations for families.

Details around the village

You can learn more about each of the holiday events here. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Florida events, news, and more.

  1. My family and I haven’t been to these specific events, but we had the privilege of visiting a few years ago for a different Christmas event, and it was spectacular. The village is decorated amazingly, and it was also just so touching to see all of the amazing things they do for these children. I highly recommend attending any of the events they host.
