Disney hosts races at its theme parks multiple times a year for those who love to get a little exercise in during their vacation, and those races are POPULAR. The biggest race event each year is in January, when the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend takes place. And if you’re participating, we just got a sneak peek at the medals for this year’s event!

The 2026 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend takes place January 7th-11th, and it’s comprised of several events. The weekend kicks off with a 5K on January 8th. This year’s medal design for that event features Pluto!

The next event is a 10K race on Friday. If you participate in that race, you can get this adorable Chip ‘n’ Dale medal!

For the half-marathon on Saturday, there’s a Donald and Daisy medal, and for the full marathon, you get a Mickey and Minnie design (see the top of the article for that photo).

If you complete BOTH the marathon and half marathon, you’ll have conquered Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge! That earns you this fun Goofy-inspired medal to take home.

And of course, the most famous medal of all is that for the Dopey Challenge. This daunting task includes completing all FOUR races of the weekend — that’s a lot of running, you guys!
