Now that I’ve been to Epic Universe a LOT, I’ve got some opinions about most of the rides there.

Okay, we know how much I love Monsters Unchained in Dark Universe (I blame the hot Dracula), but I have to admit that Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic blows me away every time I ride it. I do have a strong opinion about where you want to sit on this ride, so listen up.
The ride vehicle for The Battle at the Ministry is an omnidirectional lift that seats 14 passengers at a time across two rows. There are eight seats in the back row and then three pairs of two seats in the front row.

So where’s the best place to sit? You’ll want the middle seat in the back row. Because the way the seating is tiered, it’s easy to see over people’s heads plus that higher row has a better view of all the ride’s screens and special effects. Trust me, you’ll want to see everything because it’s really incredible the amount of detail that went into this ride.

Another reason this is my favorite seat is that this puts you closest to the axis point of the arm that flings the ride around so you don’t get as much motion. This is especially good if you’re prone to motion sickness (and this ride could trigger it!).

Now, granted, you can’t always get your pick of seats on a ride like this that’s always going to have a full ride vehicle. But you may be able to ask for the Universal Team members in the boarding area for this location in the lift (and it might even help if you stress that you’re prone to motion sickness, if that’s the case). But if you don’t get this particular seat, don’t worry — you’re going to enjoy this ride regardless.
