OPENING DATE Announced For Long-Closed Magic Kingdom Store

Magic Kingdom is changing quickly!

Magic Kingdom in Disney World

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin is closing soon for a refurbishment, construction for Piston Peak begins soon, and that’s just scratching the surface! Now, another change is coming super soon, but luckily, it’s not a closure.

Magic Kingdom is growing and expanding in so many ways! While a lot of those changes won’t open for a while (we’re looking at you, Villains Land), one of the updates is coming soon!

Main Street, U.S.A.

A brand new store, Prairie Outpost, opens on June 30! The merchandise location will be located in Frontierland and will offer wide-brimmed hats, classic fedoras, customized headwear, and more from Chapel Hats.

This spot was previously a candy store and has been closed since 2020. It’s located between Pecos Bill and the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

It’ll soon be open once again!

We love any place where we can escape the sun, get into AC, and shop while we do it. We can’t wait to see this spot reopen as Frontierland begins its major changes! This area of the park is losing Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America, which is turning into Piston Peak, inspired by Cars!

Big Thunder Mountain is also still closed for refurbishment and will stay closed until sometime in 2026. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
