David Hekili Kenui Bell, ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Actor, Has Passed Away

According to Deadline, David Hekili Kenui Bell passed away on June 12th, 2025. He is best known for his recent appearance in the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie.

His sister, Jalene Kanani Bell, shared thew news on Facebook and Hawai’i police confirmed with PEOPLE that David Hekili Kenui Bell passed away on June 12th.

David Hekili Kenui Bell’s sister shared the news of his passing, saying that, “It is with a heavy heart I share that my sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant and handsome little brother David H. K. Bell will spend today in the company of our Heavenly Father.” She wrote a beautiful message about her brother, from talking about him being the most amazing surprise when she was 18 years old, to the excitement for his appearance in the new Lilo & Stitch movie. Bell purchased the best seats in the house for them to go together on opening night.

She said he loved being an actor, doing voiceovers, and spending time with Brutus traveling as an ambassador for Kona Brew. He loved the film industry and worked at the Kona Airport, where you could hear him over the PA system. You can also see him in The Wrecking Crew, Magnum P.I., and Hawaii Five-0.
