Over the next few months, we’ll be watching weather reports closely to see what could possibly affect your vacation plans, whether it be something as mild as rain or something as serious as a hurricane. And right now, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a possible tropical disturbance.

In the morning on Tuesday, June 3rd, the National Hurricane Center shared that there’s a non-tropical area of low pressure forecast to form in the next couple of days. Over time, this could gradually acquire tropical or subtropical characteristics.

Currently, this area is off the southern shore of the United States, between Florida and North Carolina. According to weather maps on the NHC website, it has a less than 40% chance of cyclone formation over the next week.

It’s the only disturbance on the maps at this time. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the reports from the NHC to see if anything changes, and if you’re traveling to the beach in that area soon, it would be a good idea to monitor the weather.
