Disney’s been churning a lot of movies and shows at the silver screen and with home streaming titles lately. And while some of these bigger movies have flopped and been extremely anticipated live-action versions of beloved animated films, it seems Disney has found another avenue of success to bring into the fold. It’s just been confirmed that a popular show, beloved by preschool kids and younger, will soon have something new to enjoy at home and streaming on the go.

According to multiple sources including Bloomberg and Deadline, the preschool mega hit CoCoMelon will be moving to Disney+ soon. This immensely popular show features animated characters singing catchy renditions of preschool nursery rhymes between a family (including an infant of their own) set to a soothing, relaxed voice.

If the show sounds familiar but you’re finding it hard on where you might I have heard about it when it first stepped on to the media scene, you probably know it best from its debut platform with YouTube. In the years since, CoCoMelon and its spinoff CoCoMelon Lane recently switched homes from YouTube to exclusively streaming on Netlfix with 12 total seasons, four of which were added in 2024. This movie only further fuels the argument that Disney is taking strides to bolster its programming line up for family and kids programming.

This big move is slated to happen in January 2027, so you’ll still have some time to stream Moonbug Entertainment’s CoCoMelon where you’ll currently find it. Additionally, this move to Disney+ isn’t the first time we’ve been able to catch it on a Disney owned streaming service. Between October 2020 through October 2022, you could also catch it streaming on Hulu for a stint where it’s first season reigned supreme of the show by most watched hours for its total program.

However, this new move won’t affect the upcoming CoCoMelon movie which was produced by Universal and planned for a 2027 release. Additionally, it appears that Netflix already filled its spot in their programming line up by striking a deal to bring Sesame Street to the streaming giant.

While 2027 might feel like it’s far away, it will go by quickly! If you’re looking to catch CoCoMelon, CoCoMelon Lane, and Little Angel, you’ll still be able to find them on Netflix through the end of 2026.
