Not all Disney Vacation Club lounges were created equally, and we’re giving you our ranking of them ALL at Disney World!
DVC Lounge in Magic Kingdom
We like to rank lots of things at Disney World, from food to bathrooms to even the hotels! If you’ve ever wondered how we would rank one of the most beloved perks of being a DVC member, well, you’re in luck. Who knows, the top spot might just surprise you.
Visiting Disney World as a Disney Vacation Club member just hits differently once you join. It’s like seeing a brand new side to an old friend for the first time. What you once thought was the best way to “do” Disney World’s parks and hotels, just changed in a blink, thanks to member discounts and exclusive merchandise, exclusive member-only after-hours events, and yes, the perks!
Snacks
One of the most oft-mentioned perks is one that not only members can see but also other visitors passing them by, too. Disney World used to only be home to one DVC member-exclusive lounge, but recently, a few more have popped up over the last year or so, and we’re ready to tell you everything we love (and also don’t love) about them all!
4. Disney Springs
We hate to do this to it, but someone had to be last. Although the Disney Springs DVC Lounge is one of the newest, it’s not exactly topping our list of lounges.
There is a lot of seating!
We’ve ranked this one last on our list because it’s a bit out of the way and not inside one of the Disney World parks, where you’re probably spending most of your Disney World vacation. Additionally, this lounge keeps odder hours than the rest, and while it has lots of space to sit and relax above the hustle and bustle of the shopping district below it, it’s a bit more hidden to get to than the others.
3. EPCOT – Canada Pavilion
You’re probably scratching your head wondering why the newest of the DVC lounges isn’t higher up on our list — well, lots of reasons actually. Namely, we’re not quite sure it was worth the wait.
Canada Pavilion
The construction walls that went up around the Canada pavilion seemed to last forever, and up until the new lounge’s announcement, we weren’t quite sure why they were even up, considering the Canada pavilion just underwent a rather large refurbishment. There’s no denying it’s STUNNING inside, but the location and proximity to EPCOT’s other long-standing DVC lounge didn’t seem necessary. Don’t get us wrong, it’s pretty, there’s just not a whole lot going for it on the flip side of that argument.
2. Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is one park where it felt like DVC members were BEGGING for a new lounge for years — and then it finally happened!
Plenty of seating
McKim’s Mile House took over a long-standing attraction in Frontierland, which opened to some divisive opinions, but we could all agree it was a great choice to bring another DVC lounge to a second Disney World park.
Love the nod to this lounge being exclusive!
On the plus side, it’s themed very well and has a few hidden details for Disney World history buffs. But, its popularity seems to be its downfall. As a newer addition to the park and at a higher demand for its visiting members, you’ll need to anticipate waiting a bit to get a look inside or resort to paying for DVC’s Membership Magic Beyond. This paid perk allows members priority lounge access, discounted ticket purchases, and more for an annual fee. At its core, though, we can see adults being the majority that enjoy this space, leaving it to be a boring sitting area that’s got a few drink machines inside for kids.
1. EPCOT – ImaginAtrium
What’s that old saying, “an oldie but a goodie”? The OG EPCOT DVC lounge just simply has our hearts.
DVC lounge at EPCOT
Now under the name of ImaginAtrium, this spacious lounge just came off a lengthy refurbishment, but when it reopened, the changes were certainly appreciated. Its location isn’t hard to access, and has fun bright colors all throughout theming, making it feel even more inviting for families.
ImaginAtrium
Remember what we said about the Magic Kingdom lounge being a bore for kids? Well, you probably won’t have that problem here. There are interactive tables for kids to sit and play or watch Disney shorts on the nearby lounge seats while you rest and recharge using the complimentary chargers for use inside the lounge. All of this on top of complimentary snacks and drink machines?! Consider us sold.
Refreshment Spot
With the refurb, we also noticed a fun DVC member photo op along one of the walls, and now with the paid Membership Magic Benefits, you can have an exclusive character meet and greet with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia in the afternoon!
Photo Op
We get it — there are different offerings all over Disney World to satisfy different tastes when it comes to DVC lounges, but that doesn’t keep us from choosing which is our favorite!
