So trends come and go in Disney World, and yes, we’ve seen our share of them.

For example, remember the whole “Andy’s coming!” thing that people used to think would cause all Toy Story characters to drop to the ground? It wasn’t ever really a thing, although Disney did eventually incorporate it into one of its restaurants. Well, there’s a new trend that almost EVERYONE is doing in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so let’s talk about it.
So here’s what’s happening: if you have been on TikTok recently, you might have seen some videos recreating the Glambot shots often seen at entertainment awards shows on the Tower of Terror at the moment where slow motion video is taken for PhotoPass.

So if you don’t know what a Glambot shot looks like here’s an example with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posing for the camera. Basically, you strike a pose, a camera shoots it and plays it back in slow motion and you get a super dramatic video.
@colewalliser I was so pumped to shoot The Rock at The Oscars this year. a) because its the Rock and b) because i dont get to shoot as many guys as I’d like. I also am a fan of his tux, maybe ill go Salmon next year 😜😜🐟 anyways this was a moment and here it is for you to experience too! 😜🙌🏼🔥 #therock #colewalliser #glambotbts #livefrome #oscars #academyawards
Now, folks are recreating that dramatic Glambot video on Tower of Terror, and the results are actually pretty epic. Check it out:

So what do Cast Members think of this trend? Well, we’ve seen Cast Members doing it, too. The good news is that this trend doesn’t affect anyone’s experience in the park, doesn’t break any rules, and doesn’t get in Cast Members’ way. So this is probably a trend that Cast Members are loving right now. What’s not to love? It just looks like fun.
So the next time you’re on Tower of Terror, you might just want to strike a pose for the glambot — unless, of course, you’re like us and you’re too busy screaming. But it’s certain a fun little memento of your trip to Disney World that will make you laugh for years to come.

I see a lot of the younger crowd doing this in these videos. I’ll disagree with saying it does effect others’ experiences when they go to look at their own photopass videos and somebody’s hand or arm is in front of a face of those sitting on the back row (which has happened to me and my family in our photopass videos multiple times).
