When taking a cruise vacation, it’s important to keep in mind that your itinerary is subject to change. In some cases, cruise lines will adjust the ports visited during a sailing, especially in cases of severe weather or safety concerns. And one popular cruise line recently announced that the itineraries for several sailings are being updated to account for guest safety.
Celebrity Cruises is removing visits to Labadee, Haiti from multiple sailing itineraries scheduled to depart between April 2025 and April 2026. According to the company, this change impacts at least ten cruises on the ships Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond.
Instead of Labadee, Haiti, the impacted sailings will visit a different port. Some of the sailings will now stop in Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos, and others will visit George Town, Grand Cayman.
Celebrity Cruises isn’t the only cruise line to recently adjust its plans for this destination. Royal Caribbean Cruises recently returned Labadee to its itineraries after a previous pause on visits due to safety concerns.

WRONG!!! Celebrity did not cancel for “safety” reasons… they have never said that. It is more likely that Royal Caribbean needed the port as a replacement for the larger ships that currently can’t dock in San Juan due to dock reconstruction. Since Labadee is a Royal Caribbean private port, their ships take priority over Celebrity ships.
