NEWS: Potential Closing Date for Disneyland’s Napa Rose Restaurant

While Disney World certainly has a lot of construction projects going on, Disneyland Resort isn’t too far behind!

Between the new Avatar area coming to the resort, the expansion of Avengers Campus, and the plans to introduce a Coco ride to Disney California Adventure, a lot is happening. There are also renovations going on at the hotels, like the one that was announced for a popular restaurant earlier this year, and it looks like we may have just gotten a hint as to when it’s closing.

Napa Rose is a popular table service restaurant located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. This fine dining establishment focuses on a menu made from the freshest ingredients and dishes inspired by California’s wine country.

Back in January, it was announced that this location would undergo a lengthy refurbishment to take “its dining experience to the next level with an exquisite new look that celebrates Craftsman design with an eye toward modern Californian luxury and approachability.” Disney also shared that “the restaurant will have a rustic elegance and will be a tapestry of California’s storied history of wine and wine making, using natural textures such as reclaimed French oak flooring and columns (a type of wood used to make wine barrels), hand-pinged artisan metals, leathers, deep colors of cabernet, and an eye-catching chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines.”

We knew that the restaurant would be closing sometime in the spring and currently has a reopening timeline of Fall 2025, but that was all we heard from Disney. However, when looking at reservations on the Disneyland website, we noticed that reservations for Napa Rose become unavailable on April 5th and continue to remain blocked off as far as the calendar currently goes.

Could Napa Rose’s final day of operation before its lengthy closure be April 4th? We then found out that Disney is informing travel agents of this upcoming closure and does confirm it will begin in April. During this closure,  Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures will be relocated to the Trillium Room. Want another sit-down meal at the Grand Californian? Check out Storytellers Cafe.
