NEWS: Permanent CLOSURE Revealed for Disney Parks Show

Disney just confirmed one of its shows has CLOSED permanently!

Planning your next Disney vacation may look a little different. There are a lot of changes happening in the parks and hotels constantly and when those changes result in something being taken away, it can sting a little. However, there may be a silver lining to one of the most recent changes at Disney California Adventure and we’re spilling all the deets on everything we know about it so far!

If you were planning a trip out to Disney California Adventure soon with some of your younger kids (or just planning to see and do it all), we have some unfortunate news you’ll need to take note of. One of our favorite things about DCA is that there’s so much to do in this park between rides, character meet and greets, and uniquely themed lands. However, a recent change to the park’s entertainment lineup seems to have happened quietly.

On March 24th, we noticed that the page for Disney Jr. Dance Party! was missing. It’s also nowhere to be found in the Disneyland app. We were able to confirm with a Cast Member that the show took its final bow on March 23rd. This playful show encouraged kids to get up and dance, shake, and work out those wiggles to the beat featuring a live DJ and several of your favorite Disney Jr. pals!

This dance party gave us an opportunity to dance along with Vampirina, Timon, Doc McStuffins, and even Roadster Racer Mickey while snapping a few fun photos indoors and offered a nice break for younger kids (mostly near toddler ages) and their families.

Disney said to watch out for a new show announcement so it seems a replacement is already in the works. No details have been revealed just yet, but we’ll keep you updated!

In the meantime, if you’re really missing this show it’s not completely lost! Disney World also has a similar show available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that performs multiple times daily in Animation Courtyard.
