It is hard to believe that 2024 is coming to an end, and it is almost time to ring in the New Year!

One of the best places to celebrate is at the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland. Just like any holiday, it can be crowded at Disneyland as people want to experience all the specialty entertainment and be in the parks when the clock strikes midnight, so how crowded will Disneyland be this New Year’s Eve?
This year, Disneyland will be open until 2 AM, and Disney California Adventure will be open until 1 AM. Usually, Disneyland is open until midnight, and California Adventure is open until 10 PM, so it is pretty cool for people to get to the parks early in the morning.

So far, Park Pass Reservations for Disneyland are currently unavailable for December 31st but are still available for California Adventure. The good news is that after 11 AM, you can hop on over to Disneyland as long as the park is not at capacity.

Based on previous years’ wait times, crowds tend to head to the parks in the mid-afternoon, as the main festivities do not start until after dark. According to Disneyland’s website, their New Year’s Eve fireworks display is set to return. This year, Disneyland will “ring in an unforgettable New Year with festive fireworks, uplifting music and much more. It’s a perfect way to celebrate new beginnings of any kind!”

Since Park Pass Reservations are already sold out for Disneyland, you can expect the price of Lightning Lane Multi Pass to be high, as the price fluctuates based on demand and attendance. Currently, Multi Pass starts at $32 a day, but lately, it has been hovering at around $36 a day. If you are interested in purchasing Multi Pass to skip the line, you can do so on the day of your visit through the Disneyland app.
There is so much to look forward to in the New Year at the Disneyland Resort, like Disneyland’s 70th birthday and the return of the Lunar New Year Festival in California Adventure on January 17th.
