We love all the Disney World Cast Members! They help make the magic happen each and every day and we can’t thank them enough.
They are always ready to help, and we know they get asked some silly questions from time to time, so we wanted to see what some of those silly questions are!
We have a few former Cast Members on our team here at All Ears, and while we all loved our time working for the Mouse, we definitely got asked some interesting questions while we were working, and we wanted to share a few with you!
Do you own the place? One of our team members got asked this as they were handing food to a younger guest and they never forgot about it! It would be a dream come true to own the place, but unfortunately, Cast Members do not own Disney World.
Where is Harry Potter World? While silly, it is also totally understandable to feel overwhelmed by everything there is to do in Orlando. It can be confusing to understand the differences between Universal Orlando and Disney World, but All Ears we are here to help! While you won’t find Harry Potter World at Disney World, you can head over to Universal Orlando to get in all the wizarding fun.
Is this a roller coaster? One of our team members was asked this question as a guest was pulling down the harness on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They would have just walked past the launching limos and were now locking themselves into a shoulder harness. A good question to ask and better late than never, but it also made our team member chuckle a bit. We always recommend knowing at least a bit about the attraction you are getting on and reading warning signs so you know what you are getting yourself into!
Where is Daffy Duck? Another team member will never forget the day that they were asked where Daffy Duck was. Of course, they could quickly figure out that the guest was actually looking for Donald Duck, but it was a funny mistake that made their day. Unfortunately, only Donald Duck is available for meet and greets at Disney World, not Daffy Duck. You can find all the character meet and greets on the My Disney Experience app if you are ever curious about who is meeting and where and when they will be there.
Did the people fall out? It can be slightly alarming when you are about to board a ride, and the ride vehicle returns with no riders in sight. What happened to them, and should you be worried? No need for worrying! Many rides at Disney World have a separate loading and unloading area for better efficiency, so if a ride vehicle comes back empty, the guests just got off in a separate area.
Where is the castle (while in a park that is not Magic Kingdom)? A fair question to ask while you are in Magic Kingdom, but if you are in any of the other three parks you are going to be met with a disappointing answer. As much as some people might like to see a castle in each of the parks, you will only be able to find a castle in Magic Kingdom. Luckily, if you have park hopper tickets, you can easily make a detour over to Magic Kingdom or save Cinderella Castle for a different day.
What time is the 3 ‘o clock parade? Cast Members often joke about being asked this question, and believe it or not, it actually does get asked. Although usually in the context of, we are standing on Main Street and it is 3:05pm, where is the parade? The parade takes a bit of time to make it from the starting point in Frontierland all the way to its ending point on Main Street, U.S.A. Even if the parade begins at 3PM, you will be waiting a bit to see it come by if you are further down the parade route.
Does Disney control the weather? Most Cast Members have gotten asked at least some version of this question approximately 348 times. From why is it raining to why is it so hot or why isn’t there air conditioning here, we know that the weather can have a huge impact on your day in the parks. Unfortunately, Disney has not mastered how to control the weather yet, so we are all subject to constantly changing Florida weather. Try to make the most of whatever the weather throws at you, and it never hurts to dance in the rain a bit!
Is Aerosmith real or did Disney make them up? We love the curiosity, but our hearts also hurt a bit. If you also have the same question, we can confirm that Aerosmith is in fact a real band. No made-up stories here!
These are just some of the silly questions that our team members have been asked as Cast Members. Even though some might see them as silly, we also totally get where people are coming from. It is only natural to have questions and never be afraid to ask a Cast Member if you have any questions!

As a former cast member the question “when does the 3 o’clock parade start?” is actually a lot more common of a question than anyone realizes.
Reason, why is the question is actually shortened and makes it sound funny because what they mean is “when does the 3 o’clock parade actually start?”, because they are usually standing on mainsteet, is 3:20 and no parade.
They are justified at being confused. A new person in the park would have no idea that the parade starts in Frontierland and comes the opposite direction and takes 20 minutes to get there. Logically, as a first time person visiting the park, you would think the parade would start at Main Street where everybody is lined up and at 3:00pm. When 15 min later and it still hasn’t happened, they wonder if they got the time wrong or they are in the wrong place. After all, it’s their first time there.
Not that silly of a question…
