Downtown Disney, located at the Disneyland Resort, is undergoing a significant refurbishment.
The theming around Downtown Disney and some of the shops and restaurants are changing. Recently, Céntrico, Paseo, and Tiendita opened in the previous location of Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar. The highly anticipated Din Tai Fung opened near the Disneyland Hotel. Earl of Sandwich has been moving around and is currently located in two spots. You can find one in the old home of La Brea, but Earl of Sandwich will soon move out to allow Porto’s Bakery to take its place. Earl of Sandwich will then use its mobile location (that is currently open) until its permanent location is built. Plus, The Dress Shop and Wonderground Gallery have moved. Currently, the location of Marceline’s Confectionary and The Dress Shop is under construction as it transforms into Disney’s Wonderful World of Sweets. There is so much going on it is hard to keep up.
Also, during this transformation, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen dropped the name and just became Jazz Kitchen. The updated location opened in summer of 2023. Plus, this restaurant has a new modern look. You can choose to eat inside, upstairs on the balcony, or even in the courtyard.
Jazz Kitchen is a table-service restaurant. According to its website, it is “A Fusion Of Southern CA. Fresh And Louisiana Classics, The Redefined Jazz Kitchen Features Food For The Modern Palette.”
Also part of Jazz Kitchen is Beignets Expressed, which features classic beignets as well as seasonal ones.
Did you know that you are able to leave reviews on our site? That’s right! You can read and leave reviews on all things Disney World and even Disneyland, including restaurants, rides, hotels, and more! We recently saw a review for Jazz Kitchen that was so good we had to share it!
Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio Restaurant
Services: Table Service
This reviewer gave Jazz Kitchen a whopping 10 out of 10 stars and said that they “popped in for lunch and always enjoyed their Gumboyaya while it was Brennan’s [referring to the name being Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, it is now called Jazz Kitchen] but the refurb is beautiful and the Gumboyaya was ELITE ~ thick, creamy, and dreamy .. .. Just the way I would dream of, and I’ve had Gumbo and Jambalaya all over the South.”
Reservations for Jazz Kitchen can be made on the Disneyland app, or you can try to get a walk-up.
We look forward to all the new restaurants joining Downtown Disney’s lineup, including a steakhouse, a barbecue restaurants from Michelin-Starred Chef Joe Isidori.

The misuse of the word “palette” is super cringey. Should be “palate.
