The Disney World Hot Take We Can’t Believe Is…Still a Hot Take

Everyone has different thoughts and opinions about their ideal vacation to Disney World.

Walt Disney World

We recently asked our readers to share their hot takes, and some of them have really surprised us and opened our eyes to how some things that we see as unfavorable can be positive for someone else’s vacation. There is one hot take that we have constantly been preaching about, and we still can’t believe it is considered a hot take rather than a regular part of a vacation to Disney World. One of our readers has the same feelings that we do.

It is no secret that a trip to Disney World can be a little stressful and can also make you very tired. As Disney Adults, we have no problem waking up early, being on our feet all day, and then waking up the next morning to do it all again.

Time to do it all again the next day!

But we are going to let you in on a little secret: this does not have to be you every single day of your Disney World vacation; we mean, it is a vacation for a reason, and you deserve to relax.

A dip in the pool, a trip to the spa

We totally understand that you may be itching to spend as much time as possible at the parks, especially if this is your first trip to Disney World or you do not visit often.

Still, there are so many other great offerings at Disney World outside of the four theme parks.

One of our readers said that their hot take is that “you don’t have to go to a park every day. Rest days are incredible and give a much-needed break to enjoy everything beyond the park.” We could not agree more with this reader!

So many people get caught up in wanting to visit the parks every day that they start to lose energy and may not enjoy the parks as much because they are so tired and just wish they could spend a day relaxing. One of our biggest tips to avoid Disney World burnout is to plan at least one rest day during your trip.

You deserve to relax on vacation!

Rest days can look different for everyone. You can spend a day at your resort and enjoy a relaxing day by the pool. There are various offerings at each resort during the day and night, and some of these activities include pool parties, tie-dye, and even movies and s’mores under the stars! Or you can spend the day resort hopping and exploring other resorts. We love to take the monorail or Skyliner around to check out different gift shops and food offerings.

If you are looking to cool off but are looking for more of a thrill, consider checking out one of Disney World’s water parks. Depending on the time of year you can either enjoy Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. Those staying at a Disney World hotel in 2025 can take advantage of a complimentary water park ticket on the day of check-in!

Did you know that Disney World is home to not only nine and 18-hole golf courses but also two mini-golf courses? You can get into the Christmas spirit year-round at the Winter Summerland Mini Golf courses located right outside of Blizzard Beach. Or you can head over near the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve and mini golf at Fantasia Gardens.

If shopping and dining are more up your alley, then you can head to Disney Springs. There are so many fun and unique stores here, as well as plenty of delicious places to grab a bite to eat. Plus, each night, Disney Springs comes to life with live entertainment offerings spread throughout the shopping area.

Rest days can look different for each party, but they can really make your vacation more enjoyable. Plus, you can experience more of what Disney World has to offer besides the four theme parks. There is nothing wrong with wanting to go to the parks every day, but sometimes, a rest day can help you recharge for your next visit to the parks.
