Disney World is changing every day — and it’s about to change even more.
We’ve got a brand new land replacing Dinoland, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We’ve got TWO new lands, a Cars land and a Villains land, coming to Magic Kingdom plus a Monsters, Inc. land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. That means we’ve probably got some new restaurants coming to the parks, too, but there’s also a new restaurant coming to one Disney World hotel that you might not know about.
This restaurant is coming to Island Tower, the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) villas currently under construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The new building is set to open in December, and we just recently confirmed that it will feature a brand-new restaurant.
While we were at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we stumbled upon some new concept art for this restaurant, and now we’re breaking down what we think this art could mean.
For starters, we think this will be a table service location, judging from the amount of tables, chairs, and booths. The theme is decidedly marine, with fish swimming overhead and seaweed seeming to grow along the sides of the restaurant. This could potentially suggest this new dining spot could serve seafood.
We also got another view of the restaurant that seems to show an outdoor patio with some seating. We think this means you’ll be able to dine outside with a great view of Seven Seas Lagoon. Perhaps it’s a fine dining restaurant with a seafood focus and great views.
Disney has not yet confirmed the name of this restaurant and we don’t have an idea of what the menu looks like, so for now, this concept art is really all we have to go on. However, we think we might learn more soon, especially as booking is already available for Island Tower rooms. As we said, the building is supposed to open in December, so we have to assume the restaurant will open with it.
We’ll be keeping an eye out, though, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
