This year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is gearing up to look a little bit different from years past!
This summer, Magic Kingdom underwent a massive change when the highly anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened to the general public. So far, the ride has operated under the virtual queue model, but that will change temporarily during this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
Available to party attendees, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be available to ride via a standby line, a notable change from its typical operations.
While we were at the opening night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last night, we made sure to stop by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. During normal operating hours, the only way to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is with a virtual queue or a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection, however you can take advantage of a standby line during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
With the standby line, you can hop in line whenever you want during the party. You can view the current wait time in the My Disney Experience app, so you can choose the best time to ride! When you have time between your other party activities just head over to Frontierland to join the line.
We kept an eye on the wait times throughout the night and noticed that the wait time hovered right around the 40-50 minute mark for most of the night. Around 7:30PM, the wait for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was 40 minutes. Then around 9PM, the wait was 50 minutes.
You may be able to take advantage of shorter lines if you don’t mind missing some of the entertainment offerings during the Halloween party like the “Boo to You” Parade or the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show. Many party attendees will likely be at those offerings, so you may be able to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure with an even shorter wait time.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed after-hours special event at Magic Kingdom that will run on select nights from August 9th through October 31st, 2024.
Special entertainment and event offerings include Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade; trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom, a Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, special character meet-and-greets, event-exclusive snacks, the ability to wear costumes, and much more!

We got in the standby line at around 6:40pm and the posted wait time was 20 minutes. Our actual wait time ended up being 25 minutes. Whilst we were still in line, I checked at 7pm when the posted wait times were showing on the My Disney Experience app and by then the posted wait time was 70 minutes.
