How about we settle a little debate in Disney World?

This time we’re not talking about what you think the best ride is or which snack hits hardest. No, we’re actually curious about a particular Disney World hotel perk, and if that specific perk would be enough to entice you to choose one hotel over another. We wanted to find out your thoughts on the matter. Well, we asked, and you delivered!
We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “Would you rather pay MORE to stay at Pop Century just for the Skyliner over the All Star Hotels? Why or why not?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!
YES
First up, the first group of you have very strong feelings about how much you love using the Skyliner and how you’d 100% choose Pop Century over the All Star hotels because of it. 72% of you responded this way!

Here are some of the things you shared:
- “Absolutely, but not only for the skyliner. I like the ambiance, food, pools and bar better as well. But the skyliner is a game changer! The best mode of transportation even if you have to change lines.”
- “Absolutely. The convenience of the Skyliner makes the trip to HS and especially coming into International Gateway in Epcot a breeze. You can also resort hop and check out some great meals!”
- “Absolutely. The Skyliner makes getting to EPCOT and HS easy peasy. Not to mention eating at CB or Riviera.”
- “Absolutely. We love the convenience especially at closing times as the lines move continuously and we don’t have to wait and stand on a crowded bus.”
- “Yes! Skyliner was a game changer for my family”

Listen, we won’t disagree with you that there is just something magical about the convenience of the Skyliner especially if you’re staying at Pop Century or one of the other Skyliner resorts and want to pop on over to the parks or a restaurant at another resort.
NOPE
The next largest group also has strong feelings about never choosing to pay more just to get access to the Skyliner. (About 33% of you responded this way)

Here’s what you said:
- “Nope, I have always loved All Stars even over moderate resorts (I’ve stayed at Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, and Coronado Springs)… I’ve stayed at Pop many times…. Actually stayed the first night it opened… the buses at All Stars are just unbeatable. Never have to wait for an additional bus and love having the option of hoping on the one for movies if I’m staying at music, or the opposite. Plus the renovated rooms feel so clean and not cluttered. I love All Stars!”
- “I’ve stayed at both, and for our family, I much prefer the All Stars. Maybe it was just our room location, but Pop Century was so incredibly noisy, and the water pressure there was awful too. We’ve stayed at Movies, Music, and Sports throughout the years and would do any one of those over Pop Century. We do rent a car so the skyliner access isn’t a make or break for us.”
- “I’m not a fan of the Skyliner so I prefer All Star Resorts. No complaints about them.”
- “I’ve done both and I wouldn’t pay a lot more- the buses were just fine!”

We hear you loud and clear. Ultimately, whether you choose to stay at a resort with Skyliner access or not, you just have to choose the one that makes the most sense for you and your family.
IT DEPENDS
Lastly, to round everything out, the last group shared that they really could go either way depending on specific circumstances. (About 1% of you responded this way)

Here’s what you said:
- “Depends on time of year. Spring yes. Winter also yes. Summer where it shuts down a bit more due to weather. Not so much.”
- “Depends which parks you plan to go to and when. It’s mostly useful for visiting Epcot and HS. But at night shut down the bus might be quicker.”
- “Depends on how much more. Skyliner is more of an “attraction” to me than a necessity. Busses at the All Stars run frequently & always get me where I need to be with minimal waiting anyway. Sometimes it’s just nice to get to ride the Skyliner though, so if the price difference is maybe less than $50 extra per night then I’d prob go with Pop.”

We’re probably going to sound like a broken record, but we totally get what you mean about how it just depends on the circumstance when choosing where you’re going to stay. Either way, you’re still at Disney World, so you’re going to have a great time!
