If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you’ve got some big decisions and planning to do.

First, you’ll need to figure out just how long you want to visit Disney World for, as well as get the right park tickets. Then, you’ll also need to figure out where you’re going to stay. You’ll also need to figure out HOW to get to Disney World, which could be the trickiest part: will you drive, fly, or take a train? That will probably depend on where you live. Well, if you live in Europe, you have a new way to get to Orlando.
According to The Orlando Business Journal, Discover Airlines will start offering nonstop flights from Munich, Germany to Orlando International Airport starting on March 3rd, 2025 (yes, that’s still almost a year away). Discover Airlines is part of Lufthansa and will offer three weekly flights from Munich to Orlando (and back) next year. The Frankfurt-based airline is expanding its services in Munich, with Orlando flights being a part of that expansion.

“With the new long-haul leisure routes, Discover Airlines is adding highly attractive intercontinental destinations to the route portfolio at Munich Airport,” Jost Lammers, chairman of the management board of Munich Airport, said in a news release. The leisure carrier is one of the largest airlines based at Munich Airport and — as a combination of tourist and hub carrier — fits perfectly into the Lufthansa Group network.”
Orlando International Airport continues to get new flights from all over the world, and in 2023, saw a record number of international passengers: the airport saw 6.13 million international visitors in 2023, which is 25% more than what it had in 2022 (4.9 million). The airport’s international terminal, Terminal C, opened in 2022, so many of these new visitors are coming through there.

In case you were wondering, the top three international origin destinations to Orlando are Canada, the U.K., and Brazil.
If you are headed to Orlando and want to visit Disney World, you’ll also need to get from the airport to Disney World. You have several options, including renting a car, getting a rideshare like Uber or Lyft, or taking a shared shuttle service like Mears Connect.
