Something brand new is coming to EPCOT!

The park has undergone a HUGE transformation over the past few years with attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. Finally, the construction walls are clearing and the final piece is opening — CommuniCore Hall and Plaza! Now, we’ve got an update on how the space will be used, specifically at the 2024 Food & Wine Festival!
Disney previously announced that CommuniCore Hall and Plaza would open on June 10th, just in time for the summer crowds! There will be a new character meet and greet spot, an Encanto show, and so much more.

This space was also meant to enhance the EPCOT festivals and be a space to house special events for them. Now we know that it will be open for the 2024 Food & Wine Festival!

CommuniCore Hall will be the central hub for EPCOT’s festivals, featuring a demo kitchen, mixology bar, gallery, a new Mickey meet-and-greet location, and more! Hopefully festival favorites like classes and seminars will return as well!

Also, outdoors, CommuniCore Plaza will provide a flexible space for everything from large concerts to smaller performances.

While Disney hasn’t officially announced what sort of events or experiences the spaces might be used for — if any — it is exciting that we’ll get to see Communicore Hall and Plaza open for this year’s festival.
Disney has confirmed that the Eat to the Beat Concert Series will still happen at the America Gardens Theater, so we’re excited to see what other festival entertainment could come to this space.

We can’t wait to see how this impacts the festivals and we’ll be there on opening day of Food & Wine to cover it all. Stay tuned to AllEars for more information!
