Does This Souvenir Contain a HINT About Disney World's Tiana's Bayou Adventure Ride?

We may have gotten a possible hint for what we should expect to see when we ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Recently, we’ve been seeing a lot of updates on the critters we’ll be seeing throughout the ride, we’ve gotten peeks of the animatronics, and we’ve even seen some ride testing happening at Disney World! While all of that is exciting, we can not wait to see what the storyline of this ride will be. However, we think we may have found a HINT.

Disney hasn’t announced any new information about the storyline of the ride (yet), but what we do know is that the storyline of the ride picks up after The Princess and The Frog ends.

All we know so far is that we will join Princess Tiana as she prepares to host a Mardi Gras party for the people of New Orleans. However, she realizes she is missing a key ingredient, and needs help finding it. From here, we will help Tiana and Louis in their search throughout the Bayou — we’ll be meeting some new, unexpected friends throughout the search, and they’ll all play a special role throughout the party.

It sounds like Disney gave us a pretty solid understanding of the story, right? We think so, too. However, there are still a TON of details left out that have left a lot to the imagination. Well, we’ve had a lot of time to think and speculate on what those details will be — and we just found a book, and we feel like it fills in those details perfectly.

The book is titled “Tiana’s Perfect Plan”, and it follows Princess Tiana on a journey with some friends to find the perfect ingredient for her Mardi Gras party — sound familiar?

We think it does, too. While the book isn’t out quite yet, the description gives us some details about the book that we feel could fit perfectly throughout the ride.

In the book, Tiana is so determined to make it the best Mardi Gras celebration because Naveen’s parents, the King and Queen of Maldonia have decided to make a trip to New Orleans to join them! This is what urged Tiana to set off on her adventure to find the perfect ingredients she is missing.

While we know that this is only a theory, we feel like the math is math-ing here y’all. What makes this theory even better? The book is written by a Disney Legend. However, it isn’t just any Disney Legend. The author of this book is Anika Noni Rose — the voice of Princess Tiana herself.

Once again, this is all a theory — but we’re really hoping we’re right on this one. We’re so excited to experience this story on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and we can’t wait for the book to be released in October 2024 to see how the stories compare.
