Disney Adults Have a LOT To Say About These 5 Annoying Problems

We all love Disney World, but it’s not just sunshine and rainbows, right?

Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom

We could talk about how the crowds still haven’t thinned out, or how the prices still keep on climbing. The point is that there are some things at Disney World we might classify as “problems,” and that got us thinking. We just had to know your thoughts on the matter and find out which problems you’d rather do without.

We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “Which Disney World problems do you wish would just go away?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

What do you think?

Now, let’s go over your top responses. We’re listing these in no particular order.

Needing to use the phone for everything

Phones nowadays are incredible devices. In many cases, they’re more capable than computers, and they can fit in our pockets — truly some marvels of engineering. The problem is when you’re forced to use them ALL THE TIME when you’re on vacation in Disney World.

You said as much in your responses like:

  • “having to use the phone for everything the entire trip.”
  • “so true, I am on vacation I don’t want to have to look at my phone every minute of the day at Disney”
  • “The last thing I want to do is be on my phone constantly trying to get ride times instead of being immersed in the environment & experience.”

It’s true. Lots of people aren’t fans of having to use their phones for EVERYTHING at Disney World. There really is something to be said for being able to put your phone down and just immerse into the vacation. But unfortunately, you most likely won’t be able to separate yourself from your phone while you’re there.

Not having the perks we used to have

They weren’t kidding when they said that change is inevitable, but it’s not always for the better, right? Sometimes the changes we get are improvements, but more often than not, those same changes are worse, so much worse than the things they replaced.

Magical Express

You said exactly that with these responses:

  • “Bring back all the perks we had. Magical Express, fast pass, tables in wonderland……… Bring back all the extra cast members – ex: the interactive people on Main Street in Hollywood studios.”
Fastpass Kiosks

Oh, those were the good old days. We remember them well and so do you. We’d love to see perks like those make a comeback, but we’ll probably just have to visit them in our memories.

People stopping in the middle of the walkway

Okay, so most behaviors we can explain in some way or fashion, right? I did “this” because of this reason, or I did “that” because of that. But, as you mentioned, there are certain things that people do that just defy all logic and sense. (We’re looking at you people who stop right in the middle of the walkways!)

Hollywood Studios

Let’s have a look at some of your responses:

  • “People walking 13 across and not moving or people stopping in the middle of a walkway instead of moving to the side.”
  • “People who stop in the middle of walkways. Especially big groups. This also goes for people who stand in front of the ride entrance trying to figure out if they want to go on it. In or out, just pick one fast!”
Maybe don’t stop in the middle?

We can understand how you feel about these things. They happen so often that we’re a bit stumped on how to fix it, other than showing those offenders kindly how to find the perfect place to stop walking — out of the way.

Fireworks Craziness

We all love fireworks, right? You know, those big glittery explosions in the sky accompanied by other lights and music, typically all around Cinderella Castle. They’re such fun and usually the perfect way to end the day at the park, except sometimes they’re not so fun.

Getting ready for the fireworks

You said as much, too:

  • “The craziness at fireworks, including kids on shoulders!”
  • “Why make an entire park cram into this tiny space and make the projection show so hard for all the little ones to see? I wish it was just fireworks still. Then people wouldn’t rush and crowd only in front of the castle and looking up into the sky is easier for all sizes to enjoy ❤️. It is so crowded we don’t even go to the front anymore. Trying to keep the magic where we can for the kiddos.”
Fireworks

We totally get where you’re coming from. We all want to enjoy the fireworks and we fully believe everyone should be able to as well. So maybe we can all dial back on the craziness a bit, yeah?

Genie+

Now this last one’s was not really a surprise to us. It might be that it’s universally disliked.

Disney’s Genie+

You had the same thoughts:

  • “The genie+ miss the good old days where you had to put your ticket in and have a return time to come back”
  • “you mean Greedy+ ..lol”
  • “Genie- , it’s not a +”
Genie+

Sometimes we can bring a change for good and other times the change is objectively bad. We’ll let you decide which category this one falls under.
