We’re simple people, and we like simple things. We like Disney castles. We like warm churros. We like Mickey Mouse. We also like miniature versions of all these things because as soon as you shrink something down, it becomes 90% cuter. That’s science*.

If you, too, love all things cute and tiny (and Disney, of course), you’ve come to the right place. Well, actually, you need to GO to one special place, but first, let us show you why.
Outside of Disneyland Resort lives (according to our standards) the ULTIMATE Disney Adult. What this Anaheim, California family created rivals the tiny train town in the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT. This creation, which has been in the making for YEARS, draws in fans from all over and has garnered national attention. Behold the Castle Peak and Thunder Railroad, created by architect David Sheegog. It’s a miniature version of Disneyland Resort and Disney animation, complete with microscopic details you could spend hours discovering.

According to a Los Angeles Times feature, this project started as a gift for David Sheegog’s children but grew to welcome fans from near and far. This miniature world lives in David Sheegog’s backyard, with open house dates that invite guests to see it for themselves in person.

Castle Peak has it all: a miniature Sleeping Beauty Castle, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Skull Rock, and even the Indiana Jones Temple of Doom. The closer you look, the more details you will find.

Sheegog is currently an independent architect, and he has big plans for Castle Peak. Just like the Disney parks, his universe has room to grow; he’s even working on a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge expansion.

It’s free to visit this completely homemade creation, but timed reservations are required to limit traffic in the neighborhood. Visitors can see the incredibly detailed structures and buildings up close, and trust us when we say that this miniature Disneyland Park is full of fun Disney details.

If you want to Castle Peak, you can visit the website to register for one of the open house events. Note that space is limited, and in the past, these events have attracted a LOT of Disney fans.

In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
*OK, we’re gonna be honest. That’s not real science. But who could resist a teeny tiny little Disneyland Railroad train?!
