The BIG Change That Bad Weather Can Cause on Your Disney Cruise

When you’re booking a trip on the Disney Cruise Line, it’s a good idea to plan for the unexpected.

Merry Christmas!

You never know when complications can arise, and being at sea can lead to weather-related obstacles. You might already know that this can be a factor during hurricane season, but the weather can cause reroutes at any time of year. If you’re headed on a Disney cruise this season, be prepared for changes to your itinerary!

Currently, there is a weather system in the Eastern Caribbean that is expected to cause high winds and rain. Since this is likely to impact the Bahamas in the coming days, Disney has decided to alter the itinerary for one of its sailings this week.

Disney Dream

The December 14th, 2023 Disney Dream sailing, which was scheduled to visit Nassau and the Castaway Cay, will now head to the Western Caribbean and visit Cozumel, Mexico on Saturday. The new itinerary is as follows:

  • Thursday – Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
  • Friday – Day at Sea (previously Nassau, The Bahamas)
  • Saturday – Cozumel, Mexico (previously Castaway Cay)
  • Sunday – Day at Sea
  • Monday – Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
