The Hours-Long Wait You’re NOT Thinking About in Disney World Right Now

The holidays are one of the busiest seasons in Disney World!

Crowds at Magic Kingdom

Since they’re such a busy time, we wanted to give a heads-up about something that may take longer than normal (and no, it’s not ride lines). But if you usually eat in the parks, you’ll want to pay attention to this — there could be a long wait when ordering your food via Mobile Order!

With more people in the park, comes longer waits for lines — stand-by and virtual. We usually recommend using Mobile Order as a way to “skip” the line and save yourself some time. The problem is that when it gets busy at Disney World, using Mobile Order can become an issue. Let’s explain.

Mobile Order

When we hopped on our My Disney Experience app to mobile order some food the other day, we noticed a VERY long wait at Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios. The wait was estimated at 76-106 minutes. That wasn’t a typo. 106 minutes! That’s a LONG time to wait for Totchos.

So what do you have to do to avoid such a long wait? The best thing you should do is to PLAN AHEAD! Figure out where you want to Mobile Order much earlier in the day and get that order in ASAP (Remember, you can set a later pick-up time so that you can pick your food up when you’re ready to eat.) It does require some commitment to eating at a specific place but trust us — this will save you a LOT of time later.

Most likely this is going to be the case at a LOT of counter service restaurants in Disney World during the busy holiday season, so figure out those dining options BEFORE lunch or dinner.

Until then, keep following AllEars for more Disney updates.
