Welcome Foolish Mortals…to a post about the Haunted Mansion!
You may be confused as to why we’re talking about the Haunted Mansion now that spooky season is over and the holidays have arrived in the parks. Well, that’s because we’ve got a Haunted Mansion-related reminder about a change coming to the Disney World ride!
Let’s go all the way back to September 2022 at the D23 Expo. This is where Disney announced that the Hatbox Ghost would be coming to Disney World! Currently this ghostly animatronic only haunts the Disneyland version of the ride.
Then at the Destination D23 event in September 2023, Disney confirmed that the Hatbox Ghost would join Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion in November of 2023...which we are now in!
Disney still has not released an official arrival date for the Hatbox Ghost in Florida, but we expect him to be here soon. There has been some speculation about where he will be placed in the attraction which caused some uproar online.
In the meantime, if you want to get your Hatbox Ghost fix, you can watch the new Haunted Mansion movie on Disney+ now.
