Ahoy, sailors! Who’s ready for a NEW Disney vacation destination?

Disney is creating a new cruise destination called Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. It’s expected to debut in the summer of 2024, and we can’t wait to check it out. But while we wait, let’s check out the NEW details announced for Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Disney Lookout Cay is Disney Cruise Line’s newest “one-of-a-kind retreat” on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas. So far, we’ve seen a few colorful pieces of concept art, but we’ve been waiting for some big news. Well, Disney finally shared some new details about what guests can expect at Lookout Cay. Let’s take a look!

First, let’s start with our first look at some NEW concept art! Disney shared a peek at the arrival point, Mabrika Cove. Disney explained “Mabrika” means “welcome” in Taino, the language of the Lucayans, who are considered the indigenous people of The Bahamas. The language isn’t commonly used these days, but the Taino word “Mabrika” endured.

We also learned more about the Goombay Cultural Center, which will “embody the essence of ‘Junkanoo,’ a Bahamian festival filled with music and parades that will come to life in many ways across Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.” This cultural pavilion will be filled with Goombay sounds, as Goombay is one of the traditional music styles of The Bahamas. We don’t know about you, but this place looks like FUN!

Disney also hinted that there will be family entertainment at Triton’s Trumpet Stage. According to Disney, the gazebo’s name is inspired by the large, spiraled seashells commonly called “Triton’s Trumpet.” What a coincidence!

If you’re in the mood to shop, you can visit Treasures of Eleuthera — a retail shop featuring locally made gifts and artisan crafts. We love a unique souvenir, don’t you?

Big news confirmed! Disney revealed that the island will host Serenity Bay, a relaxing retreat exclusively for adults 18 and older. If you’re familiar with Serenity Bay on Disney Castaway Cay, you probably know what to expect here! At Disney Lookout Cay, Serenity Bay will feature a quiet beach experience with a dining area and private cabanas available for reservation.

Well, now we are really craving a beach getaway. Anyone else? In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
