The Best Kept Secret at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

You probably know that we spend a lot of time in the Disney World parks…but we’re also frequent visitors of the Disney Resorts!

We’ve been to (and stayed in!) every single Disney-owned hotel on property, and that means we know them inside and out. We know the best dining spots, where to shop for cool souvenirs, places where you can relax and unwind, and of course, all the deepest secrets! That’s why today, we’re sharing the best-kept secret at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Wilderness Lodge is just a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom, and the entire atmosphere here reminds us of staying at a mountainside lodge for a cozy getaway. It has a lot of charm and plenty of hidden gems (like the train room and Geyser Point!), but there’s one secret you may not know.

Did you know that Wilderness Lodge is home to its own, completely complimentary, hidden Mickey scavenger hunt?! If you’re interested in participating, all you need to do is head to the front desk and request the list. It’s a self-guided hunt that will take you to a variety of locations around the hotel.

Each listing has a clue that tells you how to find the corresponding hidden Mickey. It’s like solving riddles and doing a scavenger hunt at the same time! There are 7 locations in total, spread throughout the resort.

During your visit, you may also be able to pick up a separate hidden Mickey scavenger hunt from the front desk of the Boulder Ridge Villas area of the resort. They have their own hidden Mickeys over there, so you end up getting two adventures for the price of one…which technically, is FREE.

So the next time you’re at Wilderness Lodge, make sure to check out the complimentary Hidden Mickey Hunt! It’s a great way to pass a half hour and a great way to explore the resort — especially if it’s your first visit.
