Southwest Airlines Announces 5 MAJOR Changes to Its Rewards Program

People travel from all over the world to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. Many airlines also offer reward programs which can be a great way to earn cheap flights. One airline has recently announced FIVE new enhancements to its reward program! Let’s take a look at what they are offering.

Southwest Airlines uses its Rapid Rewards program for returning and loyal customers. There are many benefits to this program and now they’ve added five more.

Jonathan Clarkson, Vice President of Marketing at Southwest Airlines, stated, “We’re making our award-winning Rapid Rewards program even stronger, by adding new enhancements to our loyalty program, making it even easier for Members to earn and enjoy their benefits.”

These benefits include:

Fewer flights to get to A-List Status– you’ll need to fly only 20 one-way qualifying flights (starting January 1st, 2024)
Fewer Flights to get to A-List Preferred Status– you’ll need only 40 one-way qualifying flights (starting January 1st, 2024)
Your credit card spending will get you to tier status 2X faster– Get 1,500 tier towards A-List and A-List Preferred with every $5000 spent (starting January 1st, 2024)
A-List Preferred Members will get two FREE premium drinks (starting November 6th, 2023)
Redeem with Cash + Points– Members will have the option to pay for their flight with a combination of cash and points, starting with as few as 1,000 points. (starting spring 2024)
