All the NEW Restaurants Coming to Universal’s Epic Universe

Universal’s Epic Universe will be here before we know it and we can’t wait for the new restaurants to debut!

Universal’s been hard at work building their new theme park in Orlando. Of course, we want to look at the new restaurants that will help fuel us as we explore ALL the new attractions.

Super Nintendo World

At Toadstool Cafe, guests can enjoy a variety of tasty dishes inspired by the world of Super Mario and its characters, including Mario and Luigi-themed burgers, Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, Fire Flower Spaghetti and Meatballs and so much more.

Guests will also get glimpses of several Toads cooking up culinary creations through various virtual windows as they dine inside the restaurant.

This restaurant serves lunch and dinner menu items in a quick service style. The menu here is very themed to Mario character inspirations with a — you guessed it– heavy Italian and mushroom influence.

Yoshi’s Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats: Guests can also pick up delicious treats, snacks, and beverages at these walk-up dining locations.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

One of the new restaurants is called “Mead Hall” and — just like in the movie — this will be the “beating heart of Berk and the village’s main gathering hall.” Look out for a savory menu of items, like a variety of meats, fish, sandwiches, and more, along with a collection of meads and ciders.

If you’re looking for more of a grab-and-go meal, you can visit the new Spit Fyre Grill! This quick-service dining location will overlook the Fyre Drill water attraction, giving you an EPIC view of the action. Here, you can enjoy “delicious, hearty meals flame-seared by a helpful (unseen) dragon fry cook.” Here’s a peek at the Fyre Drill water attraction!

Finally, Universal also announced a new food stand called Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel. Vikings and visitors can enjoy a quick bite from a “festive racing-themed food stand” that will be located in the Viking Camp.

Dark Universe

First up is the Das Stakehaus (spooky sounding, huh?) This restaurant is set to be a quick-service meal option for diners within the Dark Universe land and has a spooky backstory to it! It’s set inside an  “old inn and dining hall built over the ruins of ancient catacombs.” Here you can dine surrounded by vampire artwork and artifacts, and be served by vampires’ “familiars”, or servants. But don’t go off wandering or you could find yourself served on the opposite side of the vampire’s menu!

This restaurant’s theming and artwork will allow you to explore the world through the monster’s eyes. Das Stakehaus’ various paintings will immerse you within the vampire’s perspectives of the world and the theming and artwork you’ll find will paint them as “heroes in their stories while displaying some of Darkmoor’s history, and referencing its architecture.”

That’s not the only restaurant you’ll find in this land though. The Burning Blade Tavern will also be available to serve your monstrous appetites! This restaurant will also be a quick-service location where visitors will dine with “the old mill which Darkmoor Village’s monster hunters have transformed into their hangout.”

Here diners can feast on the opposite side of the wheelhouse from Das Stakehaus with creature captures listening to their tales that make them the countryside’s most accomplished, as you chow down on a full menu of burgers, wings, bratwursts, pretzels, and beverages. You’ll quickly discover why this is Darkmoor Village’s “hottest” eatery around due to the windmill at the top of the tavern which will erupt into flames several times an hour. When we finally get to see it, Universal has teased there are two types of fuel used in different ratios which allows them to create its visibility any time of the day — or night.

Finally, there will be a snack stand called De Lacey’s Cottage. Near Frankenstein Manor, it will serve a variety of snacks and sweets including ice cream, cinnamon bread, twisted taters, and more. Anyone who has been to Halloween Horror Nights and tried a twisted tater knows how exciting this is!

 The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic

• Café L’Air De La Sirène – A wonder of French architecture adorned with fabulous carved marble and details of fantastic beasts hidden in the tile and mosaic designs, Café L’air De La Sirène is a charming café where guests can delight in French sandwiches, plats du jour and desserts.

• Le Gobelet Noir – In the shadowy corners of Place Cachée is a mysterious timeworn auberge, where international Dark witches and wizards gather to escape the prying eyes of the Paris Ministry and have a hearty meal over hushed conversation. Menu offerings include starters such as soups and salads as well as a variety of entrées and desserts.

• Bar Moonshine – American witches and wizards can enjoy a taste of home at Bar Moonshine, where they’ll find exclusive beers, wines and cocktails served amid U.S. Quidditch team pennants and other items of wizarding Americana.
• Bièraubeurre Cart – No visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is complete without Butterbeer! Guests can stop by the Bièraubeurre cart during their visit to Place Cachée for a frosty, delicious mug of the fan-favorite beverage.

Celestial Park

Universal announced five restaurants coming to Celestial Park. Atlantic is a full-service “surf and turf” restaurant, while The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant will take visitors on “a culinary journey across Asia as they enjoy authentic Chinese, Japanese, and Thai fare.”

Some quick service spots are coming to Celestial Park as well including The Oak & Star Tavern (serving BBQ), Pizza Moon, and Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.
