Mickey Parking Lot

For a lot of folks, parking at Disney World can be confusing enough, as those parking lots are HUMONGOUS and can sometimes feel like you’re stranded in the midst of a weird asphalt desert. Throw needing a CHARGER for your car into that mix? Chaos! Well, rest assured that your experience will (hopefully) not be a chaotic desert journey after reading this post. Let’s go!

This post is going to serve as your complete guide to charging your electric vehicle at Disney World. Thankfully, there are now a number of ChargePoint charging locations throughout Disney World, so you have quite a few options when it comes time to charge.

If you need help, you can always ask a Cast Member upon arrival for directions to the closest ChargePoint, and they’ll be more than happy to help you. It’s worth noting, though, that these are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Without further ado, let’s talk charge ports!

To use the ChargePoints, you’ll just need a credit card or a pre-ordered ChargePoint card, which is available at chargepoint.com. To charge your vehicle, it costs $0.35 per kilowatt hour, with a minimum service amount of $1.50. Charging will stop once the vehicle’s battery is fully charged, and ChargePoint will “ping” the owner to alert them when the car is ready.

Well folks, there you have it! We hope that this post was helpful and that you feel more prepared when it comes to charging your electric vehicle. Make sure to follow along for more so that you’re always in the loop.
