Planning for a trip to Disney World can be daunting.
What should you pack? Should you buy Genie+? Where should you make your dining reservations? There are a lot of questions you’ll be trying to answer, but one of them will have a major effect on your trip — which hotel should you choose? If you’re still trying to decide between a Disney hotel or one outside of the bubble, there are a few perks that you get when staying at a Disney resort that might sway your choice. Here are 3 of the best.
Early Theme Park Entry
Do you want to get a head start on those popular rides in the parks? Staying at a Disney hotel lets you enter the four theme parks up to thirty minutes early every day of the week.
While not everything will be open during these hours, most rides and some merchandise and dining locations will be available during this time. Typically, the major rides that guests tend to rope drop are open for this perk, so it’s a great way to get a head start on your desired attractions for the day.
Depending on how you plan it out, you could get in a few rides before the rest of the park’s guests even enter the park!
While this is a great perk offered to Disney hotel guests, keep in mind that there are some Good Neighbor hotels that also participate in this program — you can check them out here.
Free Transportation
Another huge bonus to staying at a Disney resort is that you can get around for free! From boats and busses to the Syliner and Monorail, there are all kinds of transportation systems throughout Disney World.
Disney World transportation is free for everyone, but if you’re staying at a Disney hotel you get the full benefit of it. While some Good Neighbor hotels do offer free transportation to the parks, it’s not as frequent or reliable as Disney’s transportation.
So if you’re staying off-property, you’ll likely need to rent a car or use ride share to get to and from the parks every day. At at Disney hotel, you don’t have to worry about that!
Early Access to Reservations
Lastly, if you’ve got your eye on one of the most popular restaurants for your stay — you’ll want to snag an Advanced Dining Reservation. Often, these can be hard to get! Typically, reservations open up 60 days beforehand at 6AM ET.
But, if you’re staying at a Disney hotel, you can make reservations for your entire vacation (up to 10 days) at 60 days out from the first day of your reservation. That means you potentially have a full 10 days early to snag a reservation.
Hopefully, this made it a little easier to narrow down your choices. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news!
