Don't Waste Your Money on These 2 Pointless Disney World Souvenirs

There are a lot of choices for souvenirs in Disney World.

Wall of ears

Yes, lots of them are super expensive, but others are little knick-knacks that are at least cheaper (but not much is really *cheap* in Disney World). But are some of these souvenirs even worth your hard-earned money? We asked our readers on Facebook, and it turns out that YES, some Disney souvenirs aren’t worth the money.

Balloons

Yep, many of our readers feel that Disney balloons are not at all worth the money.

Why is this? These balloons are adorable, but you can’t bring them on rides with you, and if you don’t have a stroller to tie them to outside the ride, there’s nowhere to keep them. Not to mention that you can’t bring them into Animal Kingdom at all for the safety of the animals.

Not only that but if you’re flying home, the balloon must be deflated before being brought in luggage/on the plane. Disney employees can deflate your balloon for you and tell you how to inflate it again at home, so if you really want that balloon, it can happen, but it’s up to you if the hassle is worth it.

Bubble Wands

Aaand the one you’ve all been waiting for — bubble wands.

So many bubble wands!

Another souvenir that’s adorable and super fun for kiddos (and we will say that a lot of our readers said they don’t mind them…but a lot more said they do), but they do have a habit of being disruptive to those around it.

Ariel Bubble Wands

Bubbles in the eyes or mouth have happened to lots of our readers, and some of our team members have even had experiences where a child has thwacked them with their bubble wand while in line for a ride. Lots of the issues with bubble wands can be minimized if parents are conscious about when and where the bubbles are being sprayed, and/or if they know their child is responsible enough to handle the power of the bubble wand, but when they’re everywhere, it’s hard to escape the bubbles!
