Is Disney's New Dancing Baby Groot Robot Cool or Creepy? We Can't Decide!

Just when we think Disney Imagineers can’t come up with anything even MORE brilliant than the things they’ve already created, they continue to surprise us.

Our jaws are STILL dropping at the Spider-Man robot that swings over the tops of buildings at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure. We’re also AMAZED at the giant Hulk meet-and-greet there. Remember when we told you about a free-roaming Baby Groot animatronic robot, though? Well, you might just get to have a dance-off with little Groot VERY SOON.

Disney is showing off the latest iteration of the Baby Groot animatronic robot, and he does more than just walk now. In fact, in the video, you’ll see Baby Groot having his own dance party. Yes, Disney has developed a dancing robot with moves so SWEET that poor Star-Lord may not be able to keep up. Oh, and he talks, too!

Here’s the full playtest video Disney shared showing off Groot and his groovy dance moves. What do you think? AMAZING? Or a little creepy?

Groot was tested with a little dance-off with Star-Lord. This could mean that he may soon join Star-Lord at Avengers Campus for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! show, which invites guests to come dance with Star-Lord and his companions.

This is the latest example of new technology that Disney is developing that can enhance the park experience for guests. We can’t wait to see what Disney comes up with next.
