The Strange Trend You WON’T Like in Disney World Right Now

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. Disney World crowds tend to be a bit unpredictable.

Disney World crowds

Last week, we saw a nearly empty Magic Kingdom on Memorial Day, and then dense crowds the very next day. Not to mention, we saw high wait times in unexpected places — including the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). Last week, we saw an impressively LONG wait for security at the TTC, and this week, we’re experiencing the issue again. Seriously, Disney, WHAT is going on?!

To preface, the TTC has a security checkpoint that visitors must go through before they board the monorail or the ferry boat that takes you to Magic Kingdom. Typically, the security lines can get a bit backed up — usually only 20 people long at most. However, last week we saw an unusually LONG line, and on June 5th we experienced the same issue.

Luckily, it didn’t take very long to actually go through the security lines. There were just a LOT of people arriving to the TTC to board the monorail and ferry — all at the same time.

So many people!

Of course, just like last week, the lines to board the monorail were also pretty backed up. However, this went by fairly quickly as well. It’s impressive how many people can fit on the monorail, huh?

Time to wait!

We know that planning a trip to Disney World can be stressful, especially with unpredictable crowds in unpredictable places. We’ll continue to keep you all updated with wait times, crowds, and more — so make sure to stay tuned and follow along!
