Get ready to boogie with Ooogie — a fan-favorite Halloween event is returning to Disneyland Resort in 2023.
Disney confirmed that Oogie Boogie Bash would return to Disneyland Resort in 2023 some time ago, but let this serve as your OFFICIAL reminder of its return (we figured you could use a reminder since it’s been a while!). Here’s everything we know about the party so far.
What Is Oogie Boogie Bash?
For those who may not be familiar with it, Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed Halloween-themed event that takes place at Disney California Adventure Park. It has been offered several times in the past and will be back in 2023.
This is a separately ticketed event, as we mentioned above, so you will need to buy a unique ticket for it.
When Is It Offered?
This year, Oogie Boogie Bash is taking place on 25 select nights from September 5th to October 31st! Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 29th (no earlier than 9AM PT), and Magic Key holders can purchase tickets beginning on June 27th (no earlier than 9AM PT).
With your ticket, you’ll get to enter the park up to 3 hours before the official party begins. The party then kicks off at 6PM and lasts for 5 hours.
Other Details
In terms of other details, so far Disney has confirmed that there will be “special Halloween-themed entertainment, attractions, Character sightings and more.” But they haven’t confirmed exactly what will appear.
In the past, we’ve seen some INCREDIBLY RARE characters like Ernesto de la Cruz…
…and Bruno!
We’ve also seen spectacular villains, and some especially cool baddies on the themed treat trails where you’ll be able to grab delicious candy.
Disney has confirmed that the Frightfully Fun Parade, Mickey’s Trick and Treat show, unique character appearances, and more entertainment will be returning to the party this year.
Disney has shared that Magic Key Holders will get a “special offering during event nights,” so that’s something to look out for.

I came upon the tickets by accident last year. There was no prior notice and we didn’t get the night we wanted but got one that was close. They sell out sooooo fast! Why doesn’t Disneyland let people know ahead of time like Disney World or sell them earlier. Is there a way to get notification that these go on sale?
