Watch the NEW Trailer for Disney & Pixar's 'Elemental'

Pixar’s new movie is coming to theaters soon!

It’s called Elemental and it’ll be available in theaters on June 16th. Disney released a few details about the movie as well as a teaser trailer, but what we’ve really been waiting on is a full-length “official” trailer. Well, the wait is over, because that trailer has arrived!

Elemental takes place in a city where earth, water, fire, and air elements all live together. The story follows two characters, Ember and Wade, who are an “unlikely pair” that discover they have more in common than they thought. Check out the trailer:

According to Disney, Ember is “a quick-witted and fiery woman who’s always stayed close to home in Firetown.” But, throughout the course of this film she “finally ventures out of her comfort zone to explore this spectacular world.”

The voice cast for this film includes Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade (respectively), Ronnie del Carmen as Ember’s dad, Bernie; Shila Ommi as Ember’s mom, Cinder; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s boss, Gale; Catherine O’Hara as Wade’s mom, Brook; Mason Wertheimer as Ember’s earth neighbor, Clod; and Joe Pera as a city bureaucrat, Fern.

Elemental is directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream and takes inspiration from Sohn’s childhood growing up in New York as the child of Korean immigrants.

Elemental will arrive in theaters on June 16th, 2023, so mark those calendars! And along with Elemental you’ll get to see a NEW animated short — Carl’s Date! The short features Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner, who has sadly passed away) and Dug (Bob Peterson), as Carl reluctantly agrees “to go on a date with a lady friend—but admittedly with no idea how dating works these days.” Dug steps in (of course!) “to calm Carl’s pre-date jitters and offer some tried-and-true tips for making friends—if you’re a dog.”
