The Disney World Skyliner Has Officially CLOSED for Refurbishment

Today’s a big day in Disney World for many reasons.

Disney Skyliner

Not only is today Splash Mountain’s last day of operation EVER, but Ariel’s Grotto is also back open for Ariel’s meet and greet after being closed since the 2020 park closures. That’s not all though — today the Disney Skyliner officially closed for refurbishment.

Today, January 22nd, the Disney Skyliner is closing for a brief refurbishment and is set to reopen on January 29th.

Closed Skyliner in EPCOT

This mode of transportation can usually take guests to and from EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and multiple Disney World Resorts including Disney’s Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, and Pop Century resorts. So for this brief amount of time, you’ll need to use alternate Disney transportation.

Disney buses can get you almost anywhere you need to go!

You can take Disney buses, Friendship Boats/Ferryboat or the Monorail (depending on where you are), drive your own car, or take a Minnie Van or Uber/Lyft. As you can see, there are plenty of other ways to get where you’re going, so plan accordingly.

We miss you, Skyliner!
